Last week we were delighted to welcome Sunny and Shay of BBC Radio WM to Temple Street. They came to visit the brand new, redeveloped Talent Match Hub, and did their show live from our building! There was an incredible atmosphere as the show was taking place, and Brenda, Sharlie and Phil did a fantastic job of telling the West Midlands about the opportunities available through Talent Match.
Brenda talked about how unique the one to one mentoring and tailored support offered through the programme is, and Sharlie spoke passionately about how Talent Match can help even the most disillusioned young adult to reach their potential. As well as hearing from some of the young mentees of the programme, the team also played ‘The Knowledge’ live on air (of which Phil was eventually the victor, after a very tight competition!).
But that wasn’t all! The very next day was the official launch of the Hub, and brought with it an entire day of activities, including a DJ workshop, a gaming competition, and cupcake decorating. MP Rob Marris dropped by to cut the ribbon, and chat to the staff and young people on the programme. It was another fun-packed day, full of laughter, and the family feel that encompasses the Talent Match team.
If you are aged 18-29 and aren’t in education, training or employment, get in touch with the Talent Match team – they offer tailored support to help get to where you want to be in life.
