PMP Consultants are the latest local business to be supporting YMCA Black Country by taking part in our Sleep Easy fundraising challenge event on Friday 8 March. Sleep Easy helps us raise vital funds to tackle the root causes of youth homelessness and support young people in their journey to independence.
So far we have over 30 people signed up to spend the night in a car park in Merry Hill, to raise awareness of the thousands of young people made homeless each year. PMP have been fundamental in the planning and implementation stage of the redevelopment of 235, a Y-Living housing site in West Bromwich which offers affordable accommodation to young people in employment, from a landlord they can trust.
On taking part in the event, Director of PMP Consultants, Claire Halliburton said: “No one should have to experience homelessness, and I’m so proud to support Sleep Easy 2024 and YMCA in all that they do to support vulnerable young people every day. We have been working with YMCA for a number of months on redeveloping their existing stock of housing, to create an additional 26 flats in Hamstead, Great Barr; working closely with them we understand the importance of the work they’re doing across the Black Country and my team felt compelled to join the Sleep Easy event to raise money to support this crucial work.”
We’re so grateful for PMP to choosing to support us and wish to encourage more local businesses to accept the challenge of spending one night sleeping rough so others don’t have to.
