A six week cooking programme to learn essential life skills as well as understanding the benefits of eating healthy, nutritious meals.
Each week participants will have the opportunity to prepare, cook and eat a healthy meal. Throughout the course, the Healthy Cooking Facilitator will set a theme each week, including food hygiene, how to avoid too much fat, sugar and salt, portion control, understanding food labels and being ‘shop savvy’. The Healthy Cooking Facilitator will demonstrate how to safely prepare and cook food and will equip participants with the skills needed to cook safely at home or in the workplace.
We support participants seeking a career in catering, or teaching in a kitchen by providing the opportunity to complete a Level 2 Food Safety & Hygiene for Catering qualification
