YMCA BCG’s Supported Accommodation in Sandwell is delivered across a number of sites.

Western Gateway

Our flagship Western Gateway development in Carters Green is a state of the art community building comprising of 68 self-contained units of accommodation and 6, 3 bed clusters who share kitchen and living areas.

Built to the highest standards and with a cutting edge design, Western Gateway provides residents with fully furnished accommodation which gives them a great platform to help them build the life they want.

The team of dedicated Housing and Tenancy Sustainment and Support Staff are on hand 24/7 to help you to develop an action plan and work with residents to achieve their life goals.

Residents have access to and IT suite to engage in job searches and brush up on computer skills as well as a spacious communal lounge and outdoor space, enabling residents to socialise relax and take part in group activities.

As well as the housing support that we provide, Western Gateway has the following additional resources;

  • on-site training facilities to enable our clients to undergo a range of learning and skills opportunities, delivered by the YMCA directly and in partnership with others.
  • a number of social enterprises that can offer clients volunteering, apprenticeship and even paid employment opportunities
  • a café providing affordable food and beverages
  • a state of the art Gym with saunas and sports hall

High Street

YMCA BCG’s Supported Housing at 60 and 62 High Street is located in the heart of Sandwell and comprises of two adjacent properties.

60 High Street has 10 generously sized ensuite rooms with 2 shared kitchens.

62 High Street has 14 self-contained studio flats.

The accommodation is well furnished with everything you need when you move in.

The team of dedicated Housing and Tenancy Sustainment and Support Staff are on hand to help you to develop an action plan and work with residents to achieve their life goals.

All residents at High Street can access the facilities provided at our Western Gateway Community Hub.

Phoenix Street

Refurbished in 2013 this accommodation is made up of 11 units and share bathrooms, kitchens and communal lounges.

The accommodation is well furnished with everything you need when you move in.

The team of dedicated Housing and Tenancy Sustainment and Support Staff are on hand to help you to develop an action plan and work with residents to achieve their life goals.

All residents at Phoenix Street can access the facilities provided at our Western Gateway Community Hub.
