West Midlands Police Inspires Clients at YMCA Workshop

West Midlands Police Inspires Clients at YMCA Workshop

The YMCA Youth Hub recently hosted a special workshop with PC Asma Begum from the West Midlands Police. The aim was to highlight the wide-ranging and varied job opportunities available within the force. The event was facilitated by Susie Sahota, JCP Recruitment Consultant.

Young people from the DWP Youth Hub and other job centres around West Bromwich came together to learn more and explore the opportunities that could lie before them.

Asma was also very candid about her own anxieties, even within her active service. She explained how her experience and training offset this, giving her the ability to deal with whatever the job threw at her – which, as she highlighted, could be a lot!

This was an eye-opening workshop for all who attended and has really whetted the appetite of many participants to consider a job role within the West Midlands Police force. This successful workshop is going to be followed up with a second session on July 17th, where Asma will go into even more detail about the roles and training available.

Big thanks to West Midlands Police for spending the time with our young people, it was a privilege to have Asma join us an inspire our next generation.
