What our Parents Say

Carters Green Day Nursery“Both of my children attend the YMCA day Nursery at Carters Green. We have always been pleased with their service, particularly when our daughter first attended in 2008. When moving her from the baby room to the 1 – 2 room, they ensured me there was a smooth transition.

Our daughter was quite fussy and refused to eat solid foods like the other children, so they blended her food for her daily, until she was ready to eat solids. They treated her as an individual and focussed on her needs and not her age. As a parent, I was confident that her needs were being met, I was able to focus at work.”

What Ofsted Say

“Children are warmly welcomed into a bright and clean environment by staff who foster the children’s personal, social and emotional development well.”

“Staff place emphasis on supporting children with special educational needs and/or disabilities and those who speak English as an additional language to help them feel included and valued.”

“Promoting the children’s personal, social and emotional development is a key strength of the nursery. Children are cared for rooms according to their age and ability and confidently explore their environment and are keen to try new activities.”

“Children enjoy daily experiences to express their creativity and imagination through using a variety of arts and crafts materials, sand and water play and engaging in role play.”
