YMCA provides supported accommodation in Wolverhampton to assist young people in their journey from homelessness to independent living.
Catisfield Crescent provides 10 rooms in shared accommodation, giving young people the opportunity for communal living.
These services provide intense 24 hour support enabling young people to acquire the skills they need to live independently.
St George’s deliver support to 17 young people. Accommodation is all self-contained and support enables young people to achieve a greater level of independence.
Dispersed Accommodation and Floating Support works with 46 young people in the community in their own homes. This means support can float in and out as required, allowing the young person to be independent whilst still being able to access support when they need it.
Tailored support is given to each YMCA resident through their Key Worker who will assist them in developing an action plan to meet their needs and to help them get their life back on the right course, moving towards a positive future. YMCA offer residents one-to-one support in a variety of areas such as:
- Careers advice
- Life skills & tenancy management
- Employability training
- Health and wellbeing advice
- Drug & alcohol awareness
- Money management
