We are looking to appoint a dynamic individual to join our Learning and Skills Development team to deliver the Family Matters project, which provides specific interventions to families who are furthest away from the employment and training arena. The target group will include lone parents, long term unemployed and those experiencing social exclusion. The Project will support all members of the families to enable them to realise their potential and gain new skills to support their route to training, volunteering or work.

The post holder will deliver practical interventions including, confidence building programmes, parenting skills, money/debt management and employability skills workshops and 1:2:1 support. The post holder will facilitate ‘teams around the family’, which may include community, voluntary and statutory services.

The post holder will have an understanding of the challenges faced by family members who want to make positive changes but require support. The post holder must also have experience of delivering interactive workshops that are engaging and will encourage clients to complete the programme. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, innovative and have a flexible approach to a wide variety of tasks.

The applicant must complete an enhanced DBS check before taking up the role.
