We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Housing Manager to launch our brand new City Centre development of shared clusters and self-contained studio units. Our Y-Living accommodation provides young professionals aged 18-35 or young people in full time education or training with new, contemporary, safe and secure, accommodation with a landlord they can trust. Are you the right person to lead this?
Responsibilities include but won’t be limited to:
- Being operationally responsible for all aspects of the housing service, which includes; managing lettings, maintenance and repairs, administration and rent collection.
- Managing and motivating a dedicated staff team.
- Promoting, advertising and marketing the accommodation to maximise the occupancy.
- Dealing with breaches of licenses/tenancies appropriately.
- Embedding a programme of social activities in line with our Belong, Contribute and Thrive mission.
The post holder must have experience of property management particularly lettings and rent collection. They must be knowledgeable in tenancy conditions and seeking possession and understand the regulatory regimes and statutory requirements of a housing provider. They will be able to work on their own initiative.
The successful applicant must be able to respect the Christian Ethos of the YMCA and uphold its values.
The applicant must complete an enhanced DBS check before taking up the role.
