Glebe Centre Volunteer

We are looking for valuable individuals to volunteer at The Glebe Centre. The Glebe Centre is a multifunctional hub from where a variety of services are delivered that serve vulnerable adults in Walsall.

Service users present with a range of complex issues including:

  • Homelessness
  •  Mental Health
  • Drugs
  •  Alcohol
  • Unemployment

The centre opens 9am – 3pm, Monday – Friday and we’re seeking dedicated and reliable volunteers who are able to assist for a minimum of 3 hours per week; 9am – 12pm or 12pm to 3pm.

Successful candidates will be enthusiastic and have a flexible approach to a wide variety of tasks. As a volunteer you will help with centre activities, cleaning, laundry, food preparation and sorting donations.

A variety of training opportunities are available including Level 2 Food Hygiene.

The successful applicant must be able to respect the Christian Ethos of the YMCA BCG and uphold its values.

The applicant must complete an enhanced DBS check before taking up the role.
