LSD58 – Family Engagement Facilitator

Salary: £22,000 (pro rata £14,664) /£11.28 per hour

Location: YMCABCG Temple Street, Wolverhampton and a number of outreach locations within our funded Area B (Springfield, Heath Town, Park Village, Old Heath and Eastfield).    

We are looking to appoint a motivated and committed individual to join our team working on our HeadStart project ‘Work with Parents’.

Working as part of the Health and Wellbeing service you will plan, develop and deliver engaging workshops/activities for the parents and carers of the children and young people engaged with the HeadStart project. You will work with parents/carers to improve their own and their family’s health and wellbeing by encouraging relationship development with their children, peers and community, developing emotional resilience and empowering parents/carers to upskill themselves and encourage home learning for their children.

You will have experience of engaging parents and carers in positive activities to improve their health and wellbeing, employability and future prospects.

LSD57 – Night Shelter Workers

YMCA Black Country Group is seeking to appoint Night Shelter Workers to work with service users accessing Walsall Night Shelter services, which will be located in Walsall.

We are looking for individuals who have a real heart and passion for supporting vulnerable adults with complex needs and who may also be rough sleepers.

This role will require resilience and confidence to work with men and women from differing backgrounds with an ability to work as part of a team.

The post holders must have experience of providing advice/support and interventions to vulnerable adults with alcohol and drug problems and of conducting assessments and developing client support pathways.

The post holders will provide an effective and professional service to service users and support a team of nightly volunteers, liaise with other agencies and know how to deal with enquiries, communicate messages, and carry out building and service user’s risk assessments.

HSL21 – Supported Lodgings Relief Workers

Relief work | £9.67 per hour | Location Black Country Wide

YMCA Open Door is an innovative and successful Supported Lodgings and Nightstop service providing safe and supportive accommodation in the homes of approved Hosts across the Black Country. The service is aimed at young people aged 16+ and works with a network of approximately 80 Host households.

We are looking for relief workers who are able to cover staff holiday and sickness at short notice. The successful candidates will be self-motivated, innovative and have a flexible approach to a wide variety of tasks. The post holders will have experience of working with vulnerable young people and will be able to manage a caseload of Supported Lodgings placements.

HHR12 – Relief Support Worker

YMCA is seeking to appoint a Bank Worker to join their team providing support to young people in Dudley.

We are looking for an innovative, creative and committed individual with experience of working with vulnerable young people. You will be required to fully contribute to the delivery of the informal education, group work, support programmes, youth activities and housing management services of YMCA Housing Support Services, as and when required.

You will have experience of giving advice and guidance, working within a supported housing environment and a proven record of engaging disadvantaged young people. Relevant training, study or qualification in the area of Advice and Guidance and/or housing and welfare is essential, ideally an NVQ level 3 or above.

Please note that weekend, evening and bank holiday cover as part of a rota system is a requirement of the post.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Early Years Apprentice at our 57 place setting based at the YMCA City Tots Nursery at Wolverhampton, who will predominately be on a rotating shift between 8:00am and 5:30pm, however this may change dependant on the operational needs of the Nursery.

You’ll be motivated and passionate about working with children and their families, and strive to provide a safe and stimulating learning environment for children to grow and develop.

A training provider is not a necessity, as this can be out sourced for the successful applicant. The organisation is also happy to facilitate training with any existing training providers.
