NGG60 – Nursery Apprentice

37.5 hours per week | £3.90 per hour |12 months Fixed Term Contract | Greets Green Children’s Centre, West Bromwich

 

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Early Years Apprentice at our 52 place setting based at the YMCA Day Nursery at Greets Green, who will predominately be on a rotating shift between 8:00am and 5:30pm, however this may change dependant on the operational needs of the Nursery.

You’ll be motivated and passionate about working with children and their families, and strive to provide a safe and stimulating learning environment for children to grow and develop.

A training provider is not a necessity, as this can be out sourced for the successful applicant. The organisation is also happy to facilitate training with any existing training providers.

CS04 – Shop Assistant

14 Hours per week | Location Wednesfield | £8.21 per hour

 

Our YMCA charity shop, located on Wednesfield High Street, offers a variety of good quality items at affordable prices. Money raised from the shop helps to support the vital work we do across the Black Country. The YMCA Charity Shop provides a friendly helpful service.

The role of Shop Assistant will include assisting with and undertaking the day-to-day operation and development of the YMCA Black Country Group Charity Shop in accordance with procedures in order to maximise sales and profits, ensuring that donated stock density, rotation, display space allocation, selection and pricing presentation are all in place maintaining a high standard of merchandising and display, both windows and in-store.

The ideal candidate will be courteous and help to support the learning and development need of any volunteers and will maintain relationships with suppliers, community groups, local churches, public property owners and their visitors or agents.

We are looking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic Coffee Shop Worker. You will have a proven track record in providing a high quality customer service, preferably in hospitality industry.

Working as a Coffee Shop Worker you will be a welcoming face to the customers visiting our coffee shop, Cielo, and Western Gateway site. You will have the ability to manage and prioritise tasks ensuring a high quality service is provided at all times to meet and exceed expectations. NSS07 – Nursery Practitioner

We are looking for an enthusiastic practitioner at our new 45 place setting based at the YMCA Small Street Nursery in Walsall. You will help to provide a warm and welcoming environment within the Nursery where young children and their families can feel valued and obtain positive help and support.

You will contribute to promoting good practice and maintaining a high quality provision. The ideal candidate will be a level 3 Early Years Qualified practitioner, with experience of planning and implementing the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum.

As part of the Nursery team you will be responsible to complete observations, planning, and prepare a variety of learning enriched activities for your key group using the Early Years Foundation Stage, be motivated and passionate about working with children and their families, and strive to provide a safe and stimulating learning environment for children to grow and develop.

Location: YMCABCG Small Street, Walsall and a number of outreach locations across Walsall.

We are looking to appoint motivated and committed individuals to join our team working on our Walsall Children and Young Persons Healthy Weight Programme.

Working as part of YMCA Black Country Group Health and Wellbeing service you will support children and young people in Walsall, and their families, to maintain a healthy weight by creating:

  • An environment that encourages people to live active and healthy lives.
  • An ethos where the whole family takes responsibility for their own health with support when needed.
  • Communities where a healthy lifestyle is seen as easy, desirable and the norm.
  • An understanding of what works most effectively at an individual, community and population level in the different geographical areas and communities including and sharing effective evaluation and learning from others.

You will have experience of engaging children, young people and families in positive activities to improve their health and well being. You will be a keen communicator with experience of linking people, organisations and projects together. Travel throughout Walsall is essential to this role.

We are looking to appoint an experienced motivated and committed individual to join our housing team in Dudley.

To support the Housing Services Manager to ensure the provision of high quality day to day housing management functions of the YMCA’s housing stock in Dudley. This includes, but not exclusively, the letting, management, maintenance, administration, rent collection and provision of housing services on all allocated Dudley housing properties and monitoring and reviewing the progress of residents within the schemes using the tenancy and sustainment assessment tool.
