GYM04 – Relief Gym & Leisure Customer Support Rep

Flexible hours | £8.21 per hour | YGYM, West Bromwich

We are looking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic Gym and Customer Support Representative to work out of our community gym, YGym. Working as a Gym & Leisure Customer Support Rep you will have a proven track record in working front of house, preferably in the fitness industry (although other business sectors considered). You will thrive in working within a very structured and successful sales environment, working to agreed key performance indicators. A large part of the role will be providing high quality customer service to all, therefore outstanding communication and interpersonal skills are essential. You will have the ability to complete sales and drive the Gym culture to meet and exceed member expectations. You will support the Fitness and Community Manager to achieve goals set for the club’s continued success.

Experience in customer service, sales, accurate record keeping and data entry are vital to the role. The post holder must be able to respect the Christian Ethos of the YMCA and uphold its values.

HBC16 – Weekend Concierge

14 hours per week | £8.21 per hour | Badger Court Wolverhampton | Fixed Term until 30th November 2019

We are looking to appoint a motivated and committed individual to join our supported housing team in Wolverhampton. The post holder will provide an effective and professional service to young tenants within our supported housing services, including dealing with enquiries, communicating messages, collecting service charges, conducting and health and safety checks, cleaning communal areas and void rooms ready for occupation and maintaining professional boundaries at all times.

The ideal candidate will be able to make decisions in relation to rules and regulations without supervision, have the ability to co-operate and work together to build team effectiveness, have good verbal and written communication skills including the ability to produce clear, accurate and concise reports and good interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop a relationship of trust with residents and encourage and motivate them.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Early Years Apprentice at our new 45 place setting based at the YMCA Small Street Nursery in Walsall

You’ll be motivated and passionate about working with children and their families, and strive to provide a safe and stimulating learning environment for children to grow and develop.

A training provider is not a necessity, as this can be out sourced for the successful applicant. The organisation is also happy to facilitate training with any existing training providers.

NSS04 – Early Years Practitioner

37.5 hours per week │£8.21 per hour (NMW) │ Permanent │ Small Street Nursery, Walsall

We are looking for an enthusiastic practitioner at our new 45 place setting based at the YMCA Small Street Nursery in Walsall. You will help to provide a warm and welcoming environment within the Nursery where young children and their families can feel valued and obtain positive help and support.

You will contribute to promoting good practice and maintaining a high quality provision. The ideal candidate will be a level 3 Early Years Qualified practitioner, with experience of planning and implementing the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum.

As part of the Nursery team you will be responsible to complete observations, planning, and prepare a variety of learning enriched activities for your key group using the Early Years Foundation Stage, be motivated and passionate about working with children and their families, and strive to provide a safe and stimulating learning environment for children to grow and develop.

Glebe Centre Volunteer

We are looking for valuable individuals to volunteer at The Glebe Centre. The Glebe Centre is a multifunctional hub from where a variety of services are delivered that serve vulnerable adults in Walsall.

Service users present with a range of complex issues including:

  • Homelessness
  •  Mental Health
  • Drugs
  •  Alcohol
  • Unemployment

The centre opens 9am – 3pm, Monday – Friday and we’re seeking dedicated and reliable volunteers who are able to assist for a minimum of 3 hours per week; 9am – 12pm or 12pm to 3pm.

Successful candidates will be enthusiastic and have a flexible approach to a wide variety of tasks. As a volunteer you will help with centre activities, cleaning, laundry, food preparation and sorting donations.

A variety of training opportunities are available including Level 2 Food Hygiene.

The applicant must complete an enhanced DBS check before taking up the role.

Volunteer Drivers and Befrienders Required

Volunteer Drivers/Befrienders – YMCA Open Door Project As and when required | To work from home on a call out basis

We are looking for volunteer drivers/ Befrienders to support young people who are in Emergency Night stop accommodation. This may involve transporting them to or from their Night stop Placement or supporting them during the day time or while they are waiting to go to their Night stop placement.

 

In the case of volunteer drivers you will be ensuring that the young person is transported safely and offering appropriate support. You will have your own car and appropriate business insurance to transport young people.

 

For Volunteer Befrienders you will be offering support as agreed with the Night Stop Officer.

 

For both Roles you must be able to relate well to young people with good interpersonal skills. You will also have a basic understanding of the issues people face, and an ability to relate to people on a one to one, non-judgmental basis. Additionally, you will have a desire to work with disadvantaged people and a willingness to participate in training and be involved in consultation regarding the role.

 

The successful applicant must be able to respect the Christian Ethos of the YMCA BCG and uphold its values. A standard DBS will be required before taking up the role.
