Our accommodation is located on Green Lane and works with 16-25 year olds who are homeless and in need of support. We provide supported accommodation in Walsall Town Centre to assist young people in their journey from homelessness to independent living.
YMCA Walsall offers 21 rooms with their own bathroom. There are 2 communal kitchens and a shared lounge area with a TV. We provide essential furniture and bedding and there are laundry facilities available. There is also WIFI available in all areas.
By offering each young person support tailored to meet their needs, we enable young people to gain independence.
Each resident is allocated a Key Support worker who will work with them to move towards a positive future.
We offer Residents one to one support in a variety of areas such as:
- Life skills
- Drug and Alcohol Awareness
- Money Management
For some young people, they require the support and securing of living in a family unit rather than in a project based environment. For these young people we provide supported accommodation through YMCA Open Door which is our Supported Lodgings Service.
