Supported Housing

Supported Housing provides young people with more than just a roof over their head. They have access to education & training within the YMCA in order to build their life skills, in addition to other activities to help them engage with other residents and make a positive contribution to their community. In all of this, YMCA is preparing young people to move on and live independently in their own home.

Supported Lodgings

The YMCA Open Door project offers supported lodgings to teenagers who may not be ready to live in independently in Supported Housing, but will benefit from living in a family environment. YMCA has Hosts right across the Black Country who have opened their homes to offer teenagers a safe place to stay.

YMCA is always looking for more Hosts. Do you have a spare room and a desire to help a homeless young person in need? Find out if you have what it takes to become an Open Door Host.
